We Knife Co is well known for making some very high quality folding knives, as well as producing knives for the big brand names in their state of the art manufacturing facilities. We Knife Co has now entered the kitchen knives/ homeware market with the introduction of 2 new Gyuto medels; WK01A and WK01B.
The WE Knife Gyuto follows the traditional Japanese knifemaking foot steps with a touch of their own design flair. The point drops dramatically instead of taking a gradual curve. Gyuto is Japanese for "Cow Blade" as such, the WE Knife Gyuto is perfect for slicing throuh meat but it's also perfectly suited for nearly any task you present at it in the kitchen.
The blade is a 67 layer Damascus clading with 10Cr15CoMoV core. This still is the equivalent to the well known VG-10, which is tried & tested choice for kitchen knives and even Katanas. The blade is high polished and beautifully hammered.
The Handle is natural wood that flows with the traditional design nicely and provides great feel and grip. The WEK01A features all black wood handle where WEK01B features brown wood trims on the bolster & pommel.
