Reate Future Knife Integral Titanium Handle Damasteel Blade Mokume Inlays

The Reate Future with Mokuti parts is a very exclusive, extremely hard to find 50 piece only limited edition knife. We can confidently say this will become one of your top 10 (if not 5) knives in the collection.
 
This was the first integral titanium knife produced by Reate and was also their first collaboration with Tashi Bharucha, the creative French knifemaker. The Reate Future was produced in a few different variations, the two Mokuti versions (M390 or Damasteel blade) were the most desirable and were limited to 50 pieces only which sold out in minutes! Ever since, they have been sought after by collectors and near impossible to find. In 2019 we only came across 2 examples for sale only, one was beat to hell. If you own a Reate Future you are indeed in a very exclusive club. Don't believe that? Try convincing anyone who owns a Future to sell it to you!
 
The Reate Furure is one of those knives that stand out from a mile away and are instantly recognisable; there is no other knife similar to a Future. The integral handle is a work of art, as well as being a real technical achievement. The beautifully sculpted handle with sublime curves and contours is completed with a smooth blasted finish. The spine features a subtle satin finish with blue anodized arrows carved into it.
 
The real show piece is the Mokuti inlays on both sides of the handle and the Mokuti pocket clip. They are high polished and heat treated to bring to life one of the most beautiful Mokuti pattern/colours we have seen.
 
Then of course there is the signature Tashi Bharucha blade design; Large, beastly and eye catching. You cannot mistake a Tashi blade for anything. The blade is wide at the heel, expanding beyond the boundaries of the handle and narrowing down towards the tip. The lines perfectly match up and flow effortlessly from handle to the blade, creating one of the most impressive integral knives ever produced. The Damasteel blade is polished and etched to pronounce its texture. It also features a blade fuller on each side.

No marks or scratches
The Mokuti parts are visibly discoloured, especially on the front side. We cannot determine the cause of discolouration. It can be fixed by re-polish and heat treating by a knifemaker
