Microtech Sigil MK6 Flipper Knife M390 Steel, Black DLC Coated
Sigil MK6 is a collaborative effort between Antony Marfione and Deryk DC Munroe. The Knife was based on Deryk's custom MK6 Sigil. The earlier versions of Sigil had the sub-framelock mechanism and the spring loaded pocket clip. This version however is a full frame lock and benefits from a more practical, fixed pocket clip.
The Sigil MK6 is a medium size knife, perfect for EDC. Yet it is built solid and strong and can definitely take some abuse. Full black DLC (Diamond Like Coating) coating is applied to the handle as well as the blade. The blade and titanium lock side are stonewashed.
The Handles are fully CNC machined and fitted with Microtech's proprietary triangular hardware. Both handles scales have been internally milled with pockets to reduced weight. The show side features aircraft grade aluminium scales for exceptional weight reduction. The lock side features a strong titanium frame lock mechanism with steel lockbar insert.
The modified sheepsfoot blade bears the Deryk's signature blade opening which gives it agrgressive looks. It is made of the best steel we know, the Bohler M390 steel. Qualities such as unparalelled edge retention, excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance make M390 a great all round premium steel.
