The Chimera is a stalwart of our stable, a larger Pikal knife that follows our design philosophy of being extremely robust in order to dominate the encounter, and has been described as a “Bull-Dozer” by many of its proponents.
 
The blade configuration can be selected, allowing you to choose from Double or Single Edge variants, which can influence the robustness of the tip. Single Edge is tougher, while Double Edge offers greater penetration, with a Single Edge with Swedge option falling somewhere in the middle. The edge of the Chimera has been flat ground by hand to create a fine cutting edge that cleaves easily through organic soft tissue. The blade also features an indent on the ricasso, acting as a placement for the supporting hand when doing heavy, double handed drag cuts.
 
The handle is on the larger side, suited more for bigger hands, but is ergonomically considered much like its smaller brother, the Shrike. It also features the finger choil which adds extra retention for security, but can also act as an index on the draw.
