ESEE/BRK Avispa Folding Knife D2 Blade, Carbon Fiber/GRN Handle
Great Design, Even Better ValueThe Avispa (meaning wasp in Spanish) is designed by Mike Perrin and Jeff Randal, the survival experts at ESEE and is produced by Blue Ridge Knives. The Avispa is very similar to the very successful and popular RAT-1 Folder. But instead of a liner lock mechanism, it has a solid frame lock. With the removal of the scale from the lock side, the Avispa is much slimmer and also lighter. All of that makes Avispa a very comfortable knife for daily carry.
While being light weight and ergonomic, the Avispa still packs a decent size blade that is up to most daily tasks and more. The D2 blade is easy to maintain and sharpen and the Carbon Fiber/GRN handles are comfortable and durable. The handle is made of Carbon fiber laminated over GRN. Overall, the Avispa offers great features in a very affordable package.
