Custom Medford Arktika Extra Large Tactical Knife Titanium Handle D2 Blade

Medford have carved out a reputation in the industry with their over-engineered, extra large and rock solid knives. Medford knives are hard use, utilitarian blades that can take an absolute beating under harshest conditions and still perform to highest standards. Their knives are dependable and built to last the vigours of demanding tactical environments.
 
The Arktika is an absolute beast of a knife with overall length of more than 25 cm and 16.7 mm haandle thickness. Even by Medford standards this knife is huge. The PVD coated D2 blade is beautifully compound ground and features a staggering 1/4 inch (6.6 mm) thick stoc. For such a large knife, the Arktika deploys very smoothly and easily using the blade hole. 
 
There are deep jimpings on top and bottom of the handle as well as the blade spine for enhanced grip, even with thick tactical gloves. A large finger choil and thoughtfully placed thumb ramp allows the user to choke up on the blade for delicate cutting tasks. The backspacer incorporates a skullcrusher/ glass breaker which is wide enough to be used as a pry tool or scraper. Although the Arktika is too large to be carried in the pocket, a clip is added to the handle. Since the clip is shallow and has very strong retention, we believe it was intended for attaching the knife to backpacks or equipment belts.
