We have been waiting for too long to see what Custom Knife Factory and Tuffknives are cooking. We knew CKF is working on a project with the custom knife maker Geoff Blauvelt, but as things are top secret in the Russian house of blades, we too had to wait in the queue to get a glimpse of this marvellous collaboration. And they didn't disappoint at all. In fact, we are pleased to say this is one of the most versatile knives CKF has produced in the last year or so. 
 
The CKF Switch is based on Geoff Blauvelt's custom design bearing the same name. CKF has added their  own finesse and fine tuning to make it distinguishable as well as more affordable. The first thing that you will notice is how light weight and ergonomic the CKF Switch is. This knife is the answer to the prayers of CKF fans for a smaller, carry friendly 3.5" blade knife that CKF doesn't do too often. The Switch is exceptionally comfortable in hand and the well rounded & contoured handle leaves no hot spots at all. 

The overall design is simple and functional. We particularly love the 3D checkered marbled carbon fiber inlays. Some of the checkered pattern continues onto the titanium handles towards the tail end of the knife. A clever splash of finesse you don't see on a production knife often at all. The black pocket clip with hidden hardware also blends in nicely with the carbon fiber.
 
The backspacer is made of Zirconium, a luxurious material that is finding its way into more custom knives recently but of course CKF will generously give you Zirconium on their production knives. Needless to say the action is buttery smooth, fast firing to open and drop shut to close, as always with CKF knives.
 
The blade is a good EDC size at 3.5" with a nice belly for extra usability. You can see that the CKF Switch was really designed to be used and carried every day.  Of course blade steel is nothing but premium Bohler M390, one of the best knife steels money can buy, period. M390 can take a very fine edge and perform flat out without needing to sharpen often. M390 features great toughness and corrosion resistance as well.
 
The Switch comes with a complete set of spare hardware, everything down to a spare titanium pocket clip. You also get a high quality zippered carry bag with micro fiber cloth and certificate of authenticity.
 
Each knife is individually numbered and the serial number on the knife you will receive may be different to the knife in the listing photos.
