Custom Knife Factory SNAFU 2.0 Integral Titanium Handle, M390 Blade, Timascus

The first collaboration between Peter Rassenti and Custom Knife Factory was the Satori model. It was an extremely successful model and sold out almost instantly. Although popular, the Satori was a huge knife and there were only 200 pieces of them made. The great reception and requests from collectors prompted CKF to speed up the production of the smaller, lighter and easier to carry Rassenti design, The SNAFU 2.0. The other good news is that the SNAFU 2.0 will be a 400 piece production run, allowing more people to own this magnificent integral flipper.

The SNAFU 2.0 may well be one of the best CKF collaborations to date. The clean and uncluttered design is classic, matching perfectly with a handsome bowie style blade. The mesmerising Timascus pivot colour adds a pleassnt pop of colour to the handle without being obnoxious.

The handle is integral and made entirely from one piece of solid titanium. This is a complicated and laborious process, requiring higher levels of precision, skills and attention to details. CKF has absolutely knocked it out of the park with the quality and fit & finish.

The bowie style blade is made of M390 and features a beautiful grind with a top swedge as well as blade fuller. The blade has a full front finger choil as well as very deep and aggressive jimping on the spine. The flats are satin finish while the rest of the blade features a classy vapour finish. The large blade stops and the way they engage the handle of the knife are a signature of Peter Rassenti.

As you'd expect from Custom Knife Factory, the action is sharp & snappy on the deployment and silky smooth, drop shut on the closing. The flipper tab is nicely bevelled to prevent any possible hot spots and guarantee a hard firing flip every time. You could also deploy the blade with your middle finger using the blade fuller, AKA "Spydie flip" it or even use the oversized blade stops to thumb flick it.
