CH Outdoors CH3509 Folding Pocket Knife Titanium/CF Handle D2 Blade
CH OUTDOORS MODEL CH3509
CH Co has been producing quality knives at affordable prices for a few years now. They have earned a good reputation for their original and functional designs.
The CH3509 is one of the largest knives in CH line up, yet it only weighs 140 grams and carries very comfortably for such a massive knife. The trick is in the internally milled titanium handles and the skeletonized carbon fiber scale. The handle of CH3509 has room to accommodate the largest of hands. Titanium backspacer has jimping to aid with better grip and there's also good amount of jimping on the blade spine to lock your thumb in position.
The action is one of the best in the CH range. The blade flips effortlessly and quickly and the closing action is absolutely drop-shut, buttery smooth. A titanium framelock with stainless steel insert offers secure lock up and durability.
One of our favourite features of the CH3509 is the beautiful and classy carbon fiber inlay on the blade. This is a costly and difficult manufacturing process but CH has managed to do it seamlessly and at a low price point. The blade is made of D2 tool steel hardened to 58-60 HRC Rockwell Hardness. D2 has excellent edge retention and wear resistance qualities and is one of the toughest steels you can get at a very reasonable price point.
Overall the CH3509 offers great value for your money as is the case with all of the CH Outdoor knives.
