The Ontario Knife Company is one of America's oldest knife manufacturers with roots going back to 1889 where the company was first established in Naples, New York. The name of the company derived from Ontario County where Naples was situated. The early knives were manufactured on a waterpower-run grindstone and sold via pushcart through the neighburing countryside. In 1902 the company moved to Franklinville, Ontario Knife's current location.

Today Ontario Knife Company continues their legacy in manufacturing high quality cutlery. Their team of designers includes some of the big names in the industry like Dan Maragni, Joe Pardue and Robert Carter.
